Teachers
What better way to give students and their parents the information they need when choosing a college than to organize a college campus tour? It's easy to set up and is very rewarding. At IST Campus Tours, we understand that your schedule is demanding and your time is limited. We have designed a step-by-step process that's quick, easy, and allows you to either earn supplemental income or obtain great travel benefits.
Here's How It Works
Step 1: Meet with one of our sales representatives.
An IST Campus Tours sales representative will meet with you on a date and at a location that is convenient for you. The meeting can take place at anytime. The IST Campus Tours representative will explain all the details of our program and how to organize the trip.
Step 2: Select an IST Campus Tour.
You can either choose from one of our existing campus tour itineraries or customize a tour to fit your group's particular needs.
Step 3: Provide students with brochures, applications, and parent meeting information.
The IST Campus Tours sales representative assigned to your account will provide you with all necessary marketing and promotional materials. All you need to do is get the materials in the hands of your students.
Step 4: Hold a group parent meeting put on by your IST Campus Tours representative.
Your job is to schedule the meeting with the assistance of your IST Campus Tours representative. The representative will then facilitate a group information meeting for all students, parents, and teachers interested in the trip. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and to address any questions or concerns students, parents, or teachers may have.
Step 5: Set a deposit due date.
At the group information meeting, the IST Campus Tours representative will set a deposit due date for all interested participants to secure their spot on the trip. Deposit payments can also be made by check at the conclusion of the group information meeting.
Step 6: Registration forms and deposit payment.
Once registration forms are filled out, they can either be collected by the teacher or faculty member organizing the trip, along with the initial deposit payment, or can simply be mailed directly to our corporate office.
Step 7: Customer service support.
Once all registrations and deposits have been collected and turned into our office, all questions will be directed to our professional customer service representatives. This relieves the teacher or faculty member organizing the trip from having to deal with questions regarding payments and trip details. In other words, IST Campus Tours handles all the backend work so you don't have to.
Step 8: Final travel packet.
About 30 days prior to the travel date, a final travel packet will be sent to each traveler outlining their final itinerary and other trip details.
Step 9: Go on the trip!
All trips generally take place in the summer between students' junior and senior year of high school. Educators organizing the trip are more than welcome to join their students on the IST Campus Tour and may even have the opportunity to earn additional income working as a tour manager.
Step 10: Apply for college.
After returning from an IST Campus Tour, students generally have 2 to 3 months before they need to begin applying for schools. This gives students time to review the materials they have received from each institution and begin the decision making process while their campus visits are still fresh in their minds.
Educator Incentives
An educator's time is limited and we value your time spent organizing an IST Campus Tours trip. Accordingly, we provide teachers and faculty members with rewarding incentives not only to motivate you to organize one of our trips, but also as our way of saying thank you.
