Daily Itinerary
Day One
  • Board a deluxe motorcoach for transfer from LHR to the hotel with London panoramic tour en route.
  • We’ll meet our local guide at the airport. In route into the city center, enjoy a panoramic London highlights tour during which we’ll see all the major sights of both London’s Old City and vibrant West End. Suitable for those visiting for the first time, or those just wishing to re-acquaint themselves with the Capital’s charms, this tour is London in a nutshell! We’ll drive past such famous sights as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, then along the river to the Tower of London. No interior visits are included in this tour, but photo stops will be made at appropriate points. Tour ends at the hotel for check-in.
  • A two-day Travelcard is provided for use on the London public transport system.

Day Two
  • Continental Breakfast
  • A guide is provided for our full day sightseeing tour of all the major sights of London. In London’s vibrant West End enjoy famous sights such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Big Ben. We’ll see Westminster Abbey, an architectural masterpiece which has been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and contains the tombs of many Kings and Queens.
  • Then we’ll move onto to the Old City of London. Although now largely commercial, the city is packed with history and noteworthy buildings. We’ll visit St Paul’s Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and the Tower of London, ancient London’s most historic monument and home to the priceless Crown Jewels
  • At the Tower of London visit the White, Bloody and Martin Towers, where prisoners were held and often tortured. Also see the Crown Jewels, displayed in a specially built jewel house, and don’t forget the Ravens, without whom the White Tower would supposedly fall, and a great disaster befall the monarchy!
  • Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Britain. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1675 and 1710, this magnificent building was designed to reflect its importance as the capital’s leading church. The church has recently undergone a multi-million pound restoration.
  • Visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank. Tour the magnificent reconstruction of this 16th century theatre and see the award-wining exhibition telling the story of the original theatre and multi-million pound reconstruction.

Day Three

  • Services of your touring coach commence today. We depart London and head to Folkestone, where we catch the Eurotunnel train to Calais. From there we continue by coach to Paris.
  • On arrival we enjoy an evening tour, and finish at Paris’ most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel tower is 318 m high, including the television antenna at the very tip. We enjoy a trip up to the 1st floor via the Elevator.
  • Dinner is arranged at a local restaurant this evening.
  • Overnight at the Holiday Inn Express Paris Canal de la Villette

Day Four

  • This morning we visit the Fragonard Perfume museum, which opened in 1983, occupies a very lovely Napoleon III town house built in 1860 by Lesoufaché, a student of Garnier. The decoration is entirely of that period. Here you can discover a wonderful collection of perfumery objects that take you traveling through the ages.
  • Optional afternoon visit and treasure hunt at the Louvre
  • Enjoy a visit to the Louvre, the most famous and prized museum in France. Constructed around 1200 as a fortress, and rebuilt around the mid-16th century as a royal palace, it became a public museum in 1793. The paintings, sculptures and artefacts on display have been assembled over the last 5 centuries, but undoubtedly the most famous is Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
  • Enjoy a fun-packed treasure hunt around the Louvre in Paris. Tantilising clues take you around the most famous exhibits in Paris’ most famous museum. Follow the trail and see if you can answer the clues in the quickest time to win a prize!

Day Five

  • Depart for Switzerland this morning! Our destination is Lucerne. Lucerne is situated in the historic and scenic heart of Switzerland. The city boasts a medieval centre rich in charm, with its picturesque 15th Century buildings and city wall towers. Lucerne also hosts the annual International Festival of Music from mid-August to mid-September and complements its rich historical background with modern culture.
  • This evening enjoy spectacular views whilst cruising on Lake Lucerne.

Day Six

  • This morning we head east into Bavaria. A stop is made at Schloss Neuschwanstein before we head into Munich.
  • We’ll enjoy a visit to the magnificent hilltop castle of Neuschwanstein, began in 1869. It was the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II who in fact only lived here for 170 days and today the marble and gilded interior confirms the impression of unreality created by Ludwig. It was the inspiration of Walt Disney’s Castle in Disneyworld, and also starred in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
  • This evening a Bavarian Buffet with Tyolean Folk Show is provided at the famous Hofbrauhaus in Munich.

Day Seven

  • This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Munich, including a visit to the famous Olympic Stadium.
  • The Olympic Park in Munich, with its unique concentration and combination of various kinds of sports and events, has become one of the most important event and leisure attractions in the world.
  • Enjoy a swimming session in the famous Olympic Pool where Mark Spitz famously won his seven gold medals and became an unmatched Olympic legendary figure - at least until Michael Phelps became the world record holder in Beijing in 2008! This does not include entrance to the Olympia Sauna Paradise, which includes a whirlpool, sauna and solarium.
  • Free time in Munich this afternoon
  • Afternoon Optional visit to Dachau
  • Visit the thought provoking Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Originally called re-education centres the Schutzstaffel (SS) soon began describing these sites as concentration camps. During this visit we will see the main areas of the camp including the Jourhaus and roll-call area.
  • Dinner is provided at a local restaurant this evening.

Day Eight

  • This morning depart Munich and head south to Innsbruck. We stop at Swarovski Crystalworld, near Innsbruck. This fascinating material transformed the world of fashion and beauty into a seductively sparkling universe. We learn all about this fascinating material and see it beautifully presented in many fabulous forms!
  • This afternoon, enjoy a half day rafting on Austria’s Tirolean Rivers. Enjoy 2 hours of great fun negotiating the rapids under the supervision of your guide. The water is cold - it’s just flowed off the Austrian Alps, but the experience is guaranteed to be the highlight of the trip. You will have the best time on the water in some breathtakingly amazing scenery.

Day Nine

  • Depart for Venice this morning. Venice is a legendary city. She chose the waters of the lagoon for her regal existence of more than a thousand years, the same water that has saved her from the clutches of time and yet threatens her very being. She is a city of a multitude of faces and noods - each visitor to Venice takes away a highly personal impression of the city’s essence.

Day Ten

  • This morning we catch the Vaporetto across to Venice Island, and enjoy the full day to explore.
  • We enjoy a half day city tour with a local guide. Spend the remainder of day at leisure.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant on Venice Island, then return to the mainland.
  • Overnight at the Hotel da Bepi

Day Eleven

  • Depart for Florence this morning. Rich in history Florence is one of the most enticing cities in Italy. Its rich culture and architecture is evident in the beautiful cathedral - the Duomo, and also in the Uffizi Gallery, the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Ponte Veccio - a famous 14th century bridge.
  • Dinner provided at a local restaurant this evening
  • Overnight at the Byron Hotel, Florence

Day Twelve

  • We enjoy a half day city tour of Florence with a local guide. Admission to the Accademia Gallery is arranged. Spend the remainder of day at leisure to explore Florence.

Day Thirteen

  • Depart for Rome this morning.
  • Rome - the capital of the Roman Empire, the most powerful, largest and longest lasting empire of classical Western civilization. It’s hard to say what you’ll find most breathtaking about the Eternal City - the arrogant opulence of the Vatican, the timelessness of the Forum, or the gory resonance of the Colosseum!
  • Dinner provided at a local restaurant this evening.
  • Overnight at the Hotel Repubblica

Day Fourteen
  • Continental Breakfast
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Rome this morning, including visits to the Sistene Chapel and the Vatican Museums.
  • The Vatican Museums are one of the most famous and renowned cultural institutions of the Holy See. They are known everywhere because of the masterpieces which the Roman Pontiffs have commissioned, collected and preserved during the ages. Together with the immense heritage of movable works of art, sculptures and paintings, which are displayed in the galleries, the itineraries of the Vatican Museums include the most important and artistically significant rooms of the Vatican Apostolic Palace, such as the “Cappella Niccolina” with paintings by Beato Angelico, the “Appartamento Borgia” with decorations by Pinturicchio, the “Stanze” painted by Raphael and, of course, the Sistine Chapel with frescoes by Michelangelo as well as the most important 15th century masters from Umbria and Tuscany. Admission to the Sistine Chapel is arranged.
